1. Localized
Before continuing, read post 4. Exhibit for context into how/when this idea started.
‘Localized’ was the first of hopefully many physical manifestations of the mikebrain.xyz blog. Like the blog in the broadest sense, attendees were invited to share ideas. “A gallery of ideas” if you will, visitors were invited to write & draw over the white paper covering surfaces inside the gallery space.
There were two main graphics made for this event. First, a promotional poster with a quote from Curating After the Global which is referenced in blog post #4, and the beginning of the exploration into taking the globally accessible ideas of this blog and localizing them.
The second graphic a piece of copy, or brochure for the event. The brochure served three purposes:
1. Give context for the event
2. Frame the type of thought or discussion of the event
3. Understand what my peers would like to see at future events
